Joe,
This website has a great message. I love your writings. I especially liked this most recent one on "Letting Go of What Once Was." It reminds me of times in my life when big changes came, and somehow, I expected certain relationships and connections to remain the same, but they didn't, and really, they couldn't. When I left the Baldwin Center to go into private practice, when Allen and I left Destiny Church (the former First Baptist of H.E.that he'd pastored for 18 years), and even several of the transitions in the Connection Ministry were some of those times for me. And the grief snuck up on me - it was a lot more intense than I unexpected. It shouldn't have surprised me, but it did.

When we devote as much of our selves to a team of people and to a ministry as what you have done for WCCC and Community Care, it does take time, sometimes a lot of time, to fully say GoodBye. Thanks for sharing your process so openly on this webpage.
